According to some manuscripts, this is the exact reply he used when Satan directly confronted Jesus in the wilderness temptations.
Luke 4:8 Jesus answered, “[Get behind me, Satan.] It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’ ”
The bracketed words appear in some Bible versions, but not the NIV, and a number of others.
Jesus told Peter (literally) ‘Go behind me, Satan’ and in Matthew 4:10 Jesus rebuked Satan with ‘Go, Satan’ ie the first and last words of his rebuke to Peter.
Certainly, Peter received a strong rebuke and Jesus’ response bears some similarity to his wilderness temptations.
